Self-Hosted Overview
Huitzo Self-Hosted¶
Huitzo Self-Hosted runs the Huitzo platform inside your client's environment, on one Linux host that you size and operate. It is delivered through Huitzo partners: your firm plans, installs and supports the deployment, and Huitzo licenses and invoices the client.
The supported install¶
At launch there is one install path: the signed release assets (Docker
Compose plus install.sh) on a single x86_64 Linux host with internet access,
served over HTTPS. Kubernetes, air-gapped installs and Arm hosts are not
supported at launch (Launch support matrix).
| Component | What it does |
|---|---|
| Dashboard | The web interface users sign in to; forwards API calls to the backend |
| Backend | API, sign-in, license verification |
| Workers and beat | Run Intelligence Pack commands and scheduled work |
| PostgreSQL 17, Redis 8 | Database and task queue, on the same host |
| Caddy (optional) | HTTPS with Let's Encrypt or your own certificate |
The deployment is single-tenant and keeps all its data on the host. The license is a signed file verified on the host; nothing contacts a Huitzo license server. Pack commands call the AI model provider the client configures, directly from the host.
From requirements to a licensed deployment¶
| Step | Who | Page |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Size and prepare the host | Your firm, with client IT | Requirements |
| 2. Download the release and run the pre-run check | Your firm | Quick start: download, pre-run check |
| 3. First install, without a license: the deployment shows its ID | Your firm | Quick start: first run |
| 4. Request the license for that deployment ID | A partner administrator | Request a license |
| 5. Accept the license agreement (Pilot, Paid) | The client | License agreement |
6. Download license.json and install it |
Your firm | Quick start: install the license |
| 7. Sign in as the first admin | Your firm, then the client | Quick start: sign in |
| 8. Check status, renew before expiry | Your firm | License status and renewal |
| 9. Back up daily, upgrade to new releases | Your firm | Operations, Upgrade |
The full install reference, with every install.sh flag, the HTTPS profile,
backups and restore, is Connected installation.
Editions and purposes¶
| Core Preview | Core Licensed | |
|---|---|---|
| Purposes | Demo or proof of concept (90 days) | Pilot, not for resale (NFR), Paid |
| Limits | 1 team, 3 users per team, 3 Packs, 500 runs per 30 days, private publishing only | None |
| Banner | "Preview — not for production use" | None |
| White-label | No | When included in the license (White-label branding) |
| Grace after expiry | 7 days | 14 days |
Moving from Preview to Licensed is a license replacement with no data migration. See Core editions and Purposes and term caps.
Security and data¶
- Stored data stays in the client's environment: PostgreSQL, uploaded files, Packs and dashboards live in Docker volumes on the host. Pack commands call the AI model provider and package indexes the client allows.
- Images are signed by Huitzo's release workflow;
install.shverifies every signature before it starts anything. - The license file is verified offline; changing or bypassing license checks breaks the license agreement.
- Secrets live in
.envon the host; back it up encrypted.
